1. CADET ADMISSION: (4 YEARS BACHELOR OF MARITIME SCIENCE (HON’S) COURSE FOR CADETS)

  • Two years theoretical training in MMA.
  • One year practical training on merchant ship with salary.
  • One year course at MMA for BSc in Maritime Science (Hon’s) degree
  • Training carried out by highly experienced Master Mariner & Marine Chief Engineers
  • Independent Workshop, Multimedia Simulation based advanced Technology, Physical Training, Ship Visit, Residential Facilities are provided for improved training & education.

Admission Procedure:

Candidate need to apply through Department of Shipping website link and follow instructions: https://dos.gov.bd/ or https://doscadet.solutionart.net/ for admission test (Written, physical test, viva, eye test and medical test). After successfully passing admission test, candidate can take admission to his selected academy by putting MAS Maine Academy as first choice.  

 

Admission Eligibility:

  • SSC and HSC (Science) minimum GPA3.5 or minimum C grade in O and A Level with 5 subjects.
  • Age limit: 22 years, l Height: 5′ -4” l Eye Sight: Deck: 6/6, Engine 6/12, without color blind

2. RATING ADMISSION: 

  1. PRE-SEA (DECK) RATING TRAINING CERTIFICATE                              
  2. PRE-SEA (ENGINE) RATING TRAINING CERTIFICATE         
  3. PRE-SEA (FITTER-CUM-WELDER) RATING TRAINING CERTIFICATE (FCW)               
  4. PRE-SEA RATING TRAINING CERTIFICATE IN SHIP'S CATERING SERVICES (STEWARD)       
  5. PRE-SEA RATING TRAINING CERTIFICATE IN SHIPS CATERING SERVICES (COOK)
  6. PRE-SEA (ELECTRICIAN) RATING TRAINING CERTIFICATE

  • 6 months training in MAS Marine Academy.
  • 6 months practical training on merchant ship with salary.
  • Training carried out by highly experienced Master Mariner & Marine Chief Engineers.

  • Candidate need to apply thru Department of Shipping website link and follow instructions: https://dos.gov.bd/ or https://dosrating.solutionart.net/ for admission test (Written, physical test, viva, eye test and medical test).
  • After successfully passing admission test, candidate can take admission to his selected academy.

Admission Eligibility:

1. For Deck, Engine, Steward and Cook Rating – SSC (Any Group) minimum GPA 2.5

2. Fitter cum Welder - Diploma in Marine/Mechanical/Power/Automobile/Ship Building

         or SSC + 2 years trade course, or SSC + 3 months BITAC workshop (Welding or Machine Shop)

3. Electrician Rating - Diploma in Electrical Technology

Age:

1. For Deck Ratings, Engine Rating, Steward Rating and Cook Rating  – 16-25 years

2. For Fitter cum Welder Rating – 20-35 years

 

Physical Qualification:

  • Height: Min-158cm, Weight: As per BMI chart (Example for 5'2" 42-67kg,)
  • Chest: Min- 76cm, Eye Vision: Deck: 6/6 Both eye, Others: 6/12 without color blind

3. JMETO (JUNIOR MARINE ELECTRO-TECHNICAL OFFICER) ADMISSION: 

         Admission Eligibility:

  • Education Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE),
  • Age: Maximum 35,
  • Physical Qualification: Height- Minimum 5’4”, Weight- 50-85kg (As per BMI Chart) Eye Sight- Maximum 6/12, (6/6 with glass), without color blind

Admission Procedure:

  1. MMA is publishing admission circular in National news paper, Academy official website and Facebook page upon approval from DG shipping basis on sit capacity.
  2. Applicant must apply for admission test as per instruction mentioned in the circular thru MMA official website  https://academy.masgroupbd.com/
  3. Admission test will be arranged by MAS Marine Academy and DG shipping examiner will take written and viva exam.
  4. Applicant must attend admission test – written, viva, physical test and medical test including eye test.
  5. Written exam question will be broad & MCQ questions from Electrical Department for 100 marks. Pass marks is 50%.
  6. Applicant passed in written exam will attend Viva exam.
  7. After passed in written and viva exam, applicant needs to give Eye test at Department of Shipping, Dhaka to get Eye Test certificate.
  8. MMA will publish Final list and Waiting list for admission as per merit position and Seat Capacity.

Training Procedure:

  • Residential and regimental training at campus à Theoretical and practical classes à Ship visit, Ship Yard visit as required àFinal merit list on 6 exam results in the academy à Final DOS exam under Department of Shipping à Achieve Pre-Sea Junior Marine Electro-Technical Officer Course Certificate à Police Verification à CDC from Govt. Shipping Office, Chattogram àEligible to get job foreign going ship as Jr. Electrical Engineer with attractive salary.

  3. SSC/Diploma/EEE Certificate and Marksheet copy
  4. NID/Birth Certificate copy 
  5. National certificate/Character certificate copy
